At 3:23pm on February 1, 2010, Linda said…: Hi Julie, it appears all was 'okay' but a rather strange experience as we had to fly and stay in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) as most people do who have certain types of treatment here on the island. The experience is different from UK in that the 'companion' is expected to do more things to help nurses which is not expected in UK. Another part of the experience was that I was sharing with and 81 year old lady who had 7 children and 10 grandchildren and they all came to visit - sometimes there were 8 in the room at a time. Also you can visit at midnight if you like, or so they did! I'll okay and in the near future, it'll be my partner's turn but it'll be easier as I speak spanish so can organise transport etc better. The strange thing is that I still have the same symptoms as before so the problem hasn't been found. Are you coming out to Lanzarote soon? What area do you stay in usually ? Linda

Thanks for the reply. We have an apartment in Matagorda Bay complex and we often walk to Playa Honda via the airport side walk. We like a drink if El Figo on the front when we get there. We also like the shops in Playa Honda on both sides of the main road.
