Travelex at any airport should be avoided, they rip people off.If you want a good rate online without delivery charges go to The Post Office.com Or onlinefx.co.uk.

Glad you had such a good time. :) Re. it being quiet, you said it yourself that you were eating the really good food in the hotel, so the restaurants are obviously suffering because people can´t afford to "eat out", especially when they have everyt…

Lanzarote or Bust!

This was apparent with the vast majority of restaurants at best half full and actively touting for business. Many bars had special offers to entice you in, indeed E1.50 was not uncommon for a large beer. In fact the bar we usually went to at lunchtime had… Continue

Hotel San Antonio or Villa?

Hi all,
First post, so please be gentle.
We're staying half board at the Hotel San Antonio later this month for 2 weeks(26/3/09) and really looking forward to it. It will be the first time since we started going to Lanza that we've stayed in a hotel, having usually gone down the villa route eating out every evening.
My reasoning being that the San Antonio looks a nice hotel and has generally good reviews, but more so the poor exchange rate making eating out a more expensive option. Any thoughts?

Hi All,

Got back lat week and the shops were giving 110 to 111 but some changed it when you got in the shop using the excuse of the rate was for cash, but if you had cash they said rate was for cheques and knocked to cents off, but VNISH indian shop by Mulligans on the strip gives exactly what they state,
Best of luck,
Davey Brid
