Well done Marian, after the volcanic dust fiasco, I think a lot of people will be booking package holidays from now on, at least they have to take responsibility for you getting home safely, but come to think of it I can't think of a nicer place to be stranded. On your advice I will look at Direct for the future.

Just booked 13th March 2011. Can't wait. Booked with Direct line which is same company as Thomas Cook check there prices if you are thinking of a T Cook holiday they are cheaper you get 20kg Luggage & meals included same plane, same accomodation, reps etc

Thanks Helen I feel a bit better now. I have paid for priority boarding and have used Easy Jet before so I know about the non-allocation of seats. A friend has also worked for them in the past and I know that they set high standards for their crew. As I said they were by far the cheapest for the time I wanted to travel and I spent a long time checking and comparing prices. Anyway my holiday starts when I get to sunny Lanza !!!

Hi Netta,
When I first started to read your comments, my thoughts were of the two women at the week-end who were stopped trying to board a flight with a dead man in a wheelchair. Bet they thought it was a lot cheaper to take him on a ticket rather than pay for a coffin. They say we Scots are mean, just goes to show some of the continental always beat at everything.
Don't start worrying about your flight, I've flown Ryanair and the only thing I didn't like was I paid to sit together but as there's no allocation of seats, its a race to get where you want to sit, if you've paid for this service they send you all out together. But I found the crews were great and it wasn't such a bad experience, my friends daughter works for them and my friend uses them all the time, for a good reason, discount.

Just read in the paper today about the lady who was stopped from boarding a Ryanair flight as the ink on her boarding pass was too light!!! Now I'm worried.. I've paid an admin fee and an on-line booking fee all to do the work myself!!! As I have booked flights for 6 people thats a considerable amount of money. I'm still happy with the over all price of the flight as it was a whole lot cheaper than flying from Glasgow but what if... Now instead of looking forward to my holidays I'm worried in case it all goes pear shaped!!!

Hi Folks,
Just to let you all know I had an email from Trip Advisor today and it's regarding flights to Lanzarote, they have just quoted £168 from Glasgow in April, I haven't had time to go into it yet and read all the details but it does look good, I have been getting mail from them on Peurto Calero, so obviously there system has picked up on this and sent it out on spec I could forward it to anyone who was interested.Just let me know
