New Update on the Road Works on Sunday 15th February 2009

I went to check on the latest progress, and I think I can say that they have progressed well. Mainly there is just the section between Fariones Hotel and Calle Doramas of the main works to finish. Its a distance of approxiately 380 metres. The main holes and pipeworks are finished and it is close to laying the tarmac finish. With the Carnival due to be on Saturday 28th February then it seems that they will make the date.

I have shown a map with the positons of the pictures shown on it, to give you an idea of how it is progressing.

The section from Calle Doramas to CC Atlantico is almost complete with only the finishing coat of Tarmac and minor finishings to the pavements (tree planting etc)

The Rest of the works from CC Atlantico, which is open to traffic, along to the end of the present stage is virually finished apart from some minor paving details.
