Lanzarote information by people who know Lanzarote

La Teraza Bar and Restaurant (above Casino)

I have just come back from Lanzarote (last Thursday) and we really enjoyed it, the weather was fantastic. The exchange rate -- well thats another matter but what the hell we were still on holiday. The other really disapointing thing was that our favourite Bar & Restaurant La Teraza which was right above the Casino in PDC was Closed. There were all the fixtures and fittings still there but there were workmen painting and so on. We thought they were just touching it up and it would be opening soon again. Unfortunately it didn't. Can anyone let me know what is going on with La Teraza.?

Not sure whats happening there, i am off to lanza tomorrow and will look to see,
But my wife is there at present and she says that a few of the Lanis restaurants are being knocked down and redeveloped and the one next to Chiquitos has had its name changed to rafaels, Rumour has it that lani is in the big house at tahiche for a few years, "Alledged" so if anyone has any further news we would be grateful,

Yes nearly all the Lanis restaurants are being rebranded as he does not operate most of them. They were rented off to other people and now they are removing all the Lani's branding from them.; ▶ Reply to This

We were there in September and noticed that a few of the Lanis had had a change of name. We heard a while ago that a rumour was going round that the man had " gone away " so maybe it's true. Glad you had a good time. The weather has been great this year. Roll on our next vist.

Permalink Reply by TamBob on February 11, 2010 at 2:25pm: Rafael's Tex-Mex, is still serving the same Tex-Mex meals, however if you want Genuine Mexican food the best and only one with a Mexican chef is Emmas Cantina in the old town.
